R-BGAN Closure Notification

Closure of R-BGAN service

Inmarsat would like to remind our customers that the R-BGAN service is scheduled to be withdrawn permanently from the end of December 2008.

The closure of the R-BGAN service will take place in two stages, on the following dates:

• South America (midnight 24:00 GMT, 15 December 2008)
• Rest of the World (midnight 24:00 GMT, 31 December 2008)

Partners are requested to ensure that all end-users of the R-BGAN service have been advised of the closure deadlines, and to upgrade any remaining R-BGAN users to BGAN to ensure they continue to enjoy the benefits of broadband communication via Inmarsat.
